For the Grown Ups

In my book Nala’s World, I share the story of how a chance encounter with a small stray kitten transformed my life. When I first set out on my cycling adventure, I was uncertain about where the road would take me or even what I was searching for. But when Nala joined me, everything changed. She brought me companionship, a renewed sense of purpose, and countless lessons, not only about the planet and the people we meet along the way, but also about myself.

Nala’s World spent two weeks on the Sunday Times bestseller list and has since been translated into twenty-six languages.

For Our Little Readers

When I first thought about sharing the story of how Nala and I met, I knew it had to be a children’s book. Our journey isn’t just a beautiful adventure, it’s also full of lessons about kindness, friendship, and caring for the world around us. Children are the next generation of caretakers for our planet and its animals, and I wanted to inspire them from an early age.

From the very beginning, our journey has been shared through videos and photographs with people all over the world. Now, with the help of the incredibly talented illustrator Frann, we’ve brought that story to life in a way that sparks imagination and wonder.

In Nala’s World, beautifully adapted for readers aged 4 and up, Nala tells the tale of how she chased after me one day as I was cycling up a hill and convinced me to take her on a round-the-world adventure. Through her eyes, young readers discover the joy of loving and caring for animals, and the magic of finding friendship in the most unexpected places.
